Currently there are over 240 faculty and researchers whose research and teaching interests lie within the broad scope of biotechnology. These faculty and staff hail from twenty-four departments in the five colleges of Agriculture and Life Sciences, Engineering, Natural Resources, Physical and Mathematical Sciences, and Veterinary Medicine.
Over half of the faculty have been approved to serve as Biotechnology Minor (BTC) Representatives on graduate thesis committees. These faculty are indicated with an asterisk. * Active instructors of the Biotechnology Courses can be found here.
The Biotechnology Faculty sponsor scholarly activities such as seminars, workshops, symposia, and retreats. These activities provide a forum for scientists and engineers to become acquainted with the diverse biotechnology research efforts on the campus. They also serve to develop mutual research efforts, interests and interdisciplinary cooperation.
