Overview

• This course will annotate bacteriophage genomes isolated by students in BIT 210.
• Students will produce a GenBank submission for each of the annotated bacteriophage genomes 
• Students in the course are part of the Science Education Alliance funded by the Howard Hughes Medical Institute.

Lab Sessions

• Students will use DNA Master, Phamerator, and other software for annotation 
• Students will identify the bacteriophage genes and their predicted function
• Students will work together to edit and submit their genome annotations to the Phages Database
