Overview
- This course will annotate bacteriophage genomes isolated by students in BIT 210.
- Students will produce a GenBank submission for each of the annotated bacteriophage genomes
- Students in the course are part of the Science Education Alliance funded by the Howard Hughes Medical Institute.
Lab Sessions
- Students will use DNA Master, Phamerator, and other software for annotation
- Students will identify the bacteriophage genes and their predicted function
- Students will work together to edit and submit their genome annotations to the Phages Database
